Moving around the country (or the globe) to live and work changes people. Some people become more grateful for the good things AND the not-so-good things in America. Others come to appreciate reduced work stresses and being less committed to one's employer. There's no single correct solution though, but some progressive ideas hitch themselves to the "do less yet have more" by demanding equal outcomes agenda. One thing isn't really debatable: our debt is stalking us. Chilling out for another year would be just as catastrophic as trying out socialism.
